Going to Work for You

As alderman, I’ve prided myself on my ability to deliver real solutions for the problems facing our city.  From protecting our residents to encouraging responsible development and improving our environment, I have been a leader in making St. Louis a better place to call home. As we enter a critical transitional time for our city, the need for effective leadership has never been higher - and I would be honored to keep going to work for you.

Keeping our Community Safe

Public safety has and always will be a foremost priority of my work as your representative. As alderman, I have sponsored and co-sponsored legislation to assist our firefighters, improve the safety and security of our jails, institute a Civilian Oversight Board, amend police use of force policies, and provide funding for Cure Violence. As alderman of the new 4th Ward, I will work to continue to make sure our residents feel safe regardless of what neighborhood you call home.

Protecting our Environment

Some of the most dangerous threats to the health and welfare of our community are ones that are hard to see. I have made it my mission as alderman to reduce the threats to our families and children posed by toxic substances and an unsafe environment. I have worked tirelessly to improve our air quality and fight pollution, update environmental ordinances, and pursue lead abatement to protect our kids.

Taking Care of our Most Vulnerable

Compassionate leadership means looking out for St. Louisans who need our help the most. I have led efforts to provide electric vehicles for senior citizens, prohibit conversion therapy in our city, and to support the Veterans Community Project. As alderman, I will always work in support of the marginalized and those in need, to ensure our city is one that takes care of all its residents.

Driving Responsible Development

I have always taken pride in encouraging new and exciting development within our city, including the redevelopment of our soccer stadium and of portions of Arsenal Street in our own ward.  That said, not all development is created equally. It is important for our city leaders to be good stewards of the tax dollars that support our public schools. I have been proud to stand up against deals that are bad for our city and for the education of our kids.
